The spirit behind Indian rituals was to stay healthy.

New Delhi: 19th October, 2013:  Conducting a workshop at FICCI Padma Shri and Dr. B.C. Roy National Awardee, Dr KK Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and MTNL Perfect Health Mela said that all rituals and festivals of India were so designed by our Rishi Munies to stay physical and mentally healthy.

The workshop was organized by Mrs Malvika Rai, President, FICCI Ladies Organization and was attended by over 100 women entrepreneurs from the NCR.

Dr. Aggarwal said that in the ancient Indian era, there was no introduction of various medical pathies. The only way for disease prevention was through the directions of Rishi Munies and these directions were converted into rituals and festivals which carried prevention formula.

Giving an example Dr. Aggarwal said that doing a Santoshi Mata vrata by women during their fertility period probably was made to prevent them from getting iron deficiency anemia and protein mal nutrition as compulsory eating of Jaggery  which contains iron and Chana which contains protein ensure that these deficiencies does not occur.

The ritual of taking a sun bath in the month of Magh, Vaishakh and Kartik was to prevent from Vitamin D deficiency.

In ancient time nobody suffered from diabetes, blood pressure, heart attack or pot belly obesity. Rishi Muni knew that only way to prevent insulin residence was to miss eating carbohydrate base cereals once in a week and the same was terms as weekly fast.
The Rishi Muni knew that in the month Chaturmas there are more negativity in the mind therefore they created most of the festivals during this period to clean he mind, intellect and ego of the person.

Dr. Aggarwal said that the principles of cognitive behavior therapy of Allopathy originated from Bhagavad Gita and narration exposure therapy of a mourning period originated from the Chautha, Tervi and Bethak rituals after death.

Every six months cleaning the mind, body, soul by observing nine days of fast during Navratri and removing the negativity from mind of others by observing holastac before holi was probably scientific in nature.

Dr. Aggarwal said chanting of vowels produces interleukin 2 which is 200 times more stronger than aspirin and chanting of nasal consonant produces tranquilizers therefore changing of OM is the best spiritual prescription as it secrets both pain killers and tranquilizers.
