Situation: A patient developed tetany after he was given metoclopramide.
Dr Good: Stop metoclopramide. Give inj promethazine.
Dr Bad: Give calcium.
Lesson: Metoclopramide can cause extrapyramidal symptoms

  2. actually diphenhydramine is better as promethazine though a good anticholinergic is also a phenothiazine.
