Science behind Devothani (Dev Uthani) Ekadashi The start of the marriage season
Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in Kartik month is celebrated as Devothani Ekadashi(Prabhodhani Ekadashi). In Mythology it is said that on this day, Lord Vishnu concludes his four months rest starting on the Ekadashi of Bhadra Pada. Auspicious functions including marriages are now allowed to take place in the society.
