Inaugurating a two days workshop on Stress Management and “how to be happy and healthy”, Sh. Rakesh Mehta, State Election Commissioner, Delhi & Chandigarh said that “hostility, aggressive behavior and anger” are the new risk factors for heart diseases. One should learn to manage anger.
Padmashri & Dr. B.C. Roy National Awardee, Dr. KK Aggarwal,
President, Heart Care Foundation of Indi a, said that out of 100% of
happiness, 90% is in one’s hands. 50% of it depends upon our past
experiences which one can reinvent and 40% on the choices we make. Only
10% is circumstantial and not in our hands.
BK Sister Asha, Director ORC said that the only way to be happy is to consider oneself not as human body but as a pure soul. The word ‘human being’ consists of ‘human’ and ‘being’ and one often forgets that ‘being’.
BK Sister Geeta, Director ORC said that one of the ways of acquiring happiness is to indulge in non-violent communication and behaviour.
BK Sister Sapna, Senior Rajyoga said that whenever we need somebody, we should offer a non-materialistic gift like appreciation, prayer or smile.
Dr. Harish Gupta, President, DMA said that doctors should practice what they preach and make sure that they remain happy and healthy too.
