Dr KK Answers: Is there a link between large waist and death from kidney disease?

A study published in American Journal of Kidney Disease has shown that for kidney patients, extra pounds around middle may double the risk of dying. Women with a waist of >42.5” and men with waist > 48” were 2.1 times more likely to die compared to those with smaller waist i.e. 31.5” in women and 30” in men.
