Dr KK Answers: What can lead to failure in Cardiac resynchronization?

A potential cause may be suboptimal lead position. In an analysis of data from the MADIT-CRT trial, an apical left ventricular lead position, as compared to a basal or midventricular position, was associated with a significantly increased risk for heart failure or death as well as an increase risk of death.
