Suno Samjho Jaano Karo

Suno Samjho Jaano Karo

Dr. Vijay Langar, our chief anesthetist at Moolchand Hospital once brought a spiritual guru to me. Once I finished my consultation, he asked for consultation fee. I asked him for a seekh (Lesson) and he said, “suno, samjho, jaano, karo” and walked away. This is what the gist of Vedic science is and also clearly defined in Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna.
We should hear, listen, understand and convert it into wisdom. Hearing means that you hear anything but listening means that you should learn its meaning. Understanding means you should understand its value in your contest and wisdom means you should practice it, re-practice it and learn intricacies of its implications.
In a conference, most of the people hear, come out of the conference and they do not recall anything.
A section hears and listens and forgets it after a few days.  Only a few of them will not only hear and listen but also understand its importance in their day to day life but do not implement it.
Only a few will actually implement it. When they start implementing it that they find that they have to relearn the intricacies of the subject.
True Bhakt is a person who asks his guru the same question again and again till he understands and implements it.
