These are some of the headlines we are used to read in Cricket.  These indicate how one player alone can completely turnaround the game and change the fortunes of his team.

The results of the recently concluded Parliamentary elections show a similar tsunami of Shri Narendra Modi and changing the subject from a tsunami to a “tsunami”. Single-handedly, like Gayle, he created history. Former CM Delhi Sheila Dikshit said they could do nothing and were lost in the Modi wave.

Even in Delhi most people simply voted for Narendra Modi without even knowing the name of the BJP candidate in their constituency.

Virat Kohli once said that when Gayle is in his form, no one can do anything.

Unfortunately, this time too there will be no leader of opposition.

For any good governance we require a good constructive opposition. So, time has come for the intellectuals to unite and work as a constructive opposition for the government from outside.

What is the science behind this ‘tsunamo’? Can this be explained by the principle of critical mass? If one percent of the society wants Modi as the prime minister, the rest will follow. This is based on the 100th monkey phenomenon.

What could have been the factors for these stupendous results? Either the collective consciousness of the people wanted him to be the prime minister or they never wanted him to be labelled as ‘chor’ as he was being called during the campaigning.

We, the medical profession, should take example from this to rebuild the doctor-patient relationship.

More than 1% of the society has love and affection for the medical profession; this is what we need on this Doctor’s day on 1st July.
